Road movies tend to be somewhat more endearing to people than a number of different music genres. That could very well be because nearly all of these are all about a character (or personalities’) inward travel which people usually relate with. As the personalities find themselves over the waywe, too, want experiences that are similar.
“The idea of a road trip is to expand your consciousness,” states Leo Braudy, a cultural historian at the University of Southern California at a Washington Post article. “The road picture is like that — going from place to place, meeting all sorts of people. It’s a cliche, but it’s true — it’s about the journey, not the destination.”
tapasvi’s Mehta’s brand new six-episode webseries on Voot,” Khwabon K-E Parindey, can also be about a travel. Three friends — Bindiya, Dixit and also Megha — proceed on a roadtrip from Melbourne to Perth. They meet with a stranger on the way. The series attempts to catch their experiences, conflicts, along with realisations.
In Hindi, friend movies always involve a trio; for example, Dil Chahta Hai, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and 3 idiots. Tapasvi acknowledges he, too, was determined by Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara however is quick to include, “Though I don’t think you’ll see any similarities [of those films] in the show.”
you will find a couple differences. A couple of the friends in Khwabon K-E Parindey are more females, including the above pictures using all-male trios. “This is also a story of young adults,” he adds, “It’s a very confusing time in life because you don’t feel like you’re an adult yet from within but the world looks at you as one. You try to delay that process as much as possible, but eventually, you have to come to terms with it. The only ones who can understand what you’re going through are your friends.”
The series had been created of tapasvi’s adventures in Australia being students. “ I was there for about four years. When you move to a new country, it’s difficult to gel well with that place. So, the show reflects these insecurities and vulnerabilities,” claims that the firsttime manager.
tapasvi has been a young child actor, and it has made several ad films. But leading a internet collection, he sayswas hard yet enjoyable.
The series traverses several components of rural Australia, for example Silverton at New South Wales, where Mad Max: Fury Road had been taken. All these locations, Tapasvi states, have rarely been recorded onscreen before.
Asha Negi, that plays Bindiya, certainly one among many lead roles, adds, “It was a wonderful experience, driving around in an RV through these places.”
Being a traveling junkie, she jumped at the ability of a set which has been, on her, a digital roadtrip. “Like our characters, we [the cast members] too went through a change at the end of the journey. We didn’t know each other. But during the shoot, we became really good friends,” she recalls. )
together with the pleasure of traveling, there were also particular challenges of shooting at a series on the move. Locating lodging was just one . Tapasvi and a couple of team members had to sleep the RV for a couple nights. And, the RV it self was perhaps not the initial person employed for its series.
“We had initially booked another RV that had a vintage vibe,” says Asha,” “It added a lot of character to the project. Four or five days into the shoot, while we were moving from one place to another it broke down and caught fire. We were all shocked. Luckily, we didn’t shoot a lot and managed to find another one.”
Today, cooped up within her home as a result of this lock down, she misses those experiences. “Which is why I think this is the right time to release the show. A lot of people are deprived of travelling. This show will give them the feel of a good journey.”
‘Khwabon K-E Parindey’ will flow on Voot out of June 14.
